I stayed at a place that was all you can drink 24 hours a day…and they weren’t kidding.

I think the best photos I take are the ones that aren’t staged- just the world right as I see it in that moment. I didn’t have to go to Africa to discover this but thats just how it worked out. I’m just saying.

i love flowers and more than the smell and the colors I love taking pictures of them.

So i was so lucky to stay with a person who had the most amazing view, ever.  This person who was at once the source of much confusion became and is now one of my dearest friends because I now know that friendships, when they begin are alot like falling in love- there is a courting, a dance to get to know each other and stepping on each others toes until you both figure out which way to turn…

Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (1988)

I finally got around to watching the Director’s Cut tonight. If you love the movies, it is impossible not to be completely in love with this film, which manages to break and enchant your heart at the same time. The ending montage of screen kisses is an incredible sequence.

Africa was beautiful. Africa fixed some of my broken parts and brought me closer to wherever the hell it is I am trying to get too.  I have pictures and words and words and pictures to share- and I will, I promise. I just need a minute- to unpack.
